Once Again, Class B Is Second-Class In The Eyes Of The Bismarck Tribune!

Well, that title was the first line of a comment that I posted to the Bismarck Tribunes 11/11/2008 Local Sports page.  I get so frustrated!  Don’t they realize that the population of Bismarck/Mandan doubles when you start including the surrounding communities?  From Wikipedia: “Its population was 55,532 at the 2000 census. Its metropolitan population was 94,719 in 2000, but was estimated in 2006 to have grown to 103,242.”

Do they really think that the retail growth in the area is only because of their growth?  The support of the surrounding communities a huge part of that.

Anyway, here is the complete comment post.

Once again, Class B is second-class in the eyes of the Bismarck Tribune!

This paper continues to disappoint me in it’s lack of coverage of Class B schools.  It would be really interesting to know what percentage of the roughly 30,000 Tribune readers do not live in Bismarck or Mandan.

I had to go to the Minot Daily News site to any Class B Volleyball Regional Tournament coverage.

I’ll keep you posted.
